Best of Broad: Thigh Society

This is the first post in a new series called Best of Broad. Every now and then we’ll be turning the spotlight on one of our favourite bras or brands. This week: Thigh Society!

Ah, summer. Barbecues, patios, sunshine…and chafing. Sorry, that took a turn, didn’t it? But I am nothing if not committed to honesty, and the truth is that summer heat can be really uncomfortable. We spend all year waiting to bust out those summer dresses, only to be met with tender, irritated inner thighs when it’s finally warm enough outside. So what’s a Broad to do when her heart wants flowy skirts and her thighs object?

In olden times, the solution would have been a basic pair of bike shorts. That’s better than nothing, but the fabric on those guys isn’t always the most comfy and they have a reputation for riding up. So not conducive to summer fun! But the future is now, my friends, and there’s a better way!

Don’t settle – wear Thigh Society!

Our love for Thigh Society is well-documented on our social media, but in case you haven’t heard: Thigh Society is a Canadian company making the best anti-chafing shorts ever. We’ve been carrying them since we opened, and Sam’s a big believer.

Customers often exclaim over how comfy these are, and they really are sort of magical. Thigh Society’s shorts are made from a blend of microfiber, spandex, and a material called Sorbtek. Sorbtek (besides being a fun word to say) is fantastically breathable and wicks away moisture like nobody’s business.

These guys aren’t really shapewear – there’s no squeezing or squishing – but they do create a nice smooth line under your clothes. There are no elastic bands, no tags to make you itchy, and with no seams at the waist or legs, there’s no chance of rolling down or riding up.

Ready for a pair of your own? We’ve got mid-rise, high-rise, beige, and black. Come on by and check them out!
