The Broad Gift Guide, Part One: Wish Lists

On everyone's wish listWhether you think of this month as the most wonderful time of the year, or as a few weeks of heightened stress that ends with baked goods, we can all agree that shopping for other people has its challenges. And when lingerie’s on the list? That’s like, a whole other level. I think you get an award when you get that one right.

How The Wish List Works

Lots of people aren’t totally sure of their own bra size, so how can they be expected to guess someone else’s? And even if you know their size in one bra, that doesn’t mean it’ll necessarily translate to a different style. But don’t panic yet! There’s a way around this, and it’s…drumroll, please…THE WISH LIST.

At Broad, we keep customer files that include all the notes we take during fittings. We keep track of each person’s style and colour preferences, the types of bras that work for their body, and more. This is where the wish list lives. When a Broad tries on a bra and falls in love, but isn’t ready to take the next step, we’ll jot down the size, style, and colour. That way, if she dreams about “the one that got away” every night for a week, it’s easy for her to come back and take it home after all…and really easy for gift-givers to find out what to give her.

When The Wish List Doesn’t Work

Is Soak on your wish list? There are rare cases in which the wish list isn’t helpful. Maybe the intended recipient doesn’t have a wish list with us. Or maybe she’d rather receive the gift of an afternoon at Broad, trying on a ton of bras and listening to early 2000s pop music before picking the perfect bra herself. (The pop is optional, but recommended.) Either way, it’s no problem: our gift certificates save the day! We’ve even got little gift boxes for them, so there’s still something to unwrap. If you’re looking for something stocking-sized, check out our shelf of Soak. The three ounce bottle is a great way to try out a new scent. And of course, there’s always our Broad tote bags! They fold up and zip into a little pouch, when they’re not immediately identifying you as one of the cool kids.

Holiday shopping doesn’t have to be a drag. Let Broad – and the thought of sweet, sweet baked goods – carry you through!
