In our post on bra care<\/a> I mentioned that it\u2019s a good idea to use a gentle detergent when washing your frillies, but I didn\u2019t give any examples. Today I rectify that omission with a post dedicated to our very favourite bra wash: Soak!<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to know where to begin when it comes to what we love about Soak. You wouldn\u2019t think laundry soap could inspire such adoration, but this stuff is magic. For me personally, Soak is the thing that finally got me hand-washing my bras. And honestly, it\u2019s because it\u2019s the ideal lazy-Broad bra wash. The steps are simple:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Squirt some Soak into a clean sink or wash tub.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Run cool water to make a little bubble bath for your bras.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Submerge your bras in the bubble bath and let them (you guessed it!) <\/span>soak<\/span><\/i> for 15 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Optional step: rinse. I often don\u2019t bother with this step at all, but when I do, it\u2019s just to drain the sink, re-fill with fresh water, and drain again. Not fussy at all!<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Gently press (don\u2019t wring!) to get rid of excess water, and hang to dry from the centre.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    See what I mean? Soak\u2019s a low-maintenance Broad\u2019s best friend. This works for not only bras, but also swimwear and any other delicates. Even your favourite sweater, as we move into the fall!<\/span><\/p>\n

    Soak is made in Canada with simple, plant-derived ingredients. Plus it\u2019s biodegradable, so you could even take it camping if that\u2019s your thing. And the bottles are made of recycled materials, with labels printed using water based inks. So not only is this stuff body- and bra-friendly, it\u2019s also eco-friendly!<\/span><\/p>\n

    As if all that wasn\u2019t enough, Soak is also available in several gorgeous scents. At Broad, we carry Yuzu (citrusy goodness), Lacey (floral, bergamot-y), and Fig (fruity and sweet). We also stock Scentless, which is wonderful for sensitive skin or noses. You don\u2019t need to use very much – about a teaspoon per gallon of water – so one bottle goes a long way. The 12oz bottle lasts for about 75 washes, while the 3oz bottle does about 18 and is perfect for travel.<\/span><\/p>\n
