Sometimes I think I care a little too much about bras. I often talk about them like they\u2019re people, introducing them to customers with sentences like, \u201cThis is Matilda<\/a>, she\u2019s very popular.\u201d (No, I don\u2019t name the bras myself – they come with their own great names.) I can\u2019t help it! I work with so many wonderful bras. But there\u2019s one in particular holding the key to my bra fitter heart: the Goddess Yvette.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her<\/span><\/i>?<\/span><\/h4>\n

While she’s not exactly the Ann Veal of the bra world, Yvette can fly under the radar. This bra doesn\u2019t necessarily scream special from the hanger. In fact, I sometimes have to wheedle a bit just to get folks to give it a chance. This is the \u201ctrust me, you\u2019ll love it\u201d bra – and they almost always do. At first glance, particularly in the light beige colour, Yvette might seem a little conservative or even boring. But look a little closer. She may surprise you!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Look<\/span><\/h4>\n

\"\"Goddess describes Yvette\u2019s lace as \u201cbringing a touch of glamour to your everyday bra\u201d and they\u2019re totally right. \u201cEveryday\u201d means something a little different to everyone, but for lots of folks, it\u2019s code for a bra that\u2019s smooth, invisible under clothing, and comes in neutral colours. Yvette\u2019s got you covered on all counts! Yes, there\u2019s a seam at the side of the cup, and that glamorous lace. But thanks to clever design and fabric choice, none of that is likely to show through your t-shirt. This makes Yvette a fantastic alternative to foam-cup t-shirt bras.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yvette has been around in black and beige for a while, and this season I\u2019m very excited to say that you\u2019ll also find her in a gorgeous navy. Not sure how to wear a blue bra? Yvette in navy does basically everything a black bra can do. Just wear it under anything dark coloured.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fit<\/span><\/h4>\n

\"\"But Yvette\u2019s not all looks. She\u2019s got substance, too! A particular strength is the wide, soft band. It offers a slight smoothing effect for those concerned about bumps, and it is astonishingly comfortable. The straps are wide, so they\u2019re less apt to cut in or irritate, and they\u2019re also slightly inset, so the petite-shouldered needn\u2019t worry about slippage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another key feature is the full coverage cup. If controlling jiggle is a priority for you, you\u2019ll love this. The coverage and firmer fabric are the boob security dream team – nobody\u2019s getting out of there on their watch. And because the top part of the cup is lace, if a little of it peeks over your top\u2019s neckline? It just adds to the outfit.<\/span><\/p>\n

And last but not least, Yvette\u2019s size range is great. This is a plus size<\/a> range that includes full bust<\/a> sizes. The band size runs from 36-52 depending on cup size, and the cups run up to a US J (a UK GG) depending on band size. (Note: we don\u2019t regularly stock every single size, but they\u2019re just a special order away!)<\/span><\/p>\n

As I\u2019m always saying, there\u2019s no one bra that\u2019s perfect for every body. As much as I love Yvette, even she isn\u2019t going to work for everyone. But if she\u2019s the one for you? You\u2019ll never want to let her go.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
